From leading supermarket chains, such as Tesco and Sainsbury’s, to local convenience stores, saving energy is vital for profits and the environment.
Several trials have been carried out to investigate the energy saving when fitting doors to high temperature cabinets. Results obtained from such testing have shown that a number of factors must be considered; for example, the cabinet design, the door opening frequency, the store conditions etc..
It is now clear that fitting a suitable door can show energy savings of between 30% and 40%. They can even be as high as 60% under the right conditions.
